Chapter3--Days of my primary school days.....A period of pride and prejudice.....Do our best and be the best!

Dear journal,

As promised in my previous journal entry, today topic will be centered around my primary school days.Since my colourful and really eventful days begun really only from primary 4 onwards,I self therefore skip the first 3 years of my primary school days and focus on the last 3 years of my primary school days.First and foremost, one of the most memorable event that occurred during my primary school days must be the creation of my very own newspaper tabloid when I was in primary 6 called 'The Strait Settlement'.I could still vividly remembered that I often search through my family photo albums and in the process select a few photos that serve as headlines and illustrations for some of my articles in the tabloid and Boy did I have so much fun during the entire process!Luckily,my tabloid was quite well received by my classmates at that times which was probably one of the reason why I continued to produced it.In fact I sometimes wondered if the creation of my own tabloid was why I still enjoy reading newspapers and magazines so much up till these days and why I enjoy writing compositions be it chinese or English in class. As for the name of the tabloid,it was contributed none other my brother who was studying secondary school history at that times and which I suspected the word 'strait settlement must have appeared quite frequently in his textbook for him to suggest it to me.
Apart from a few interesting events however, friends must certainly be the major component that make up my colourful primary school days without which I am sure that my primary school life would inevitably be monotonous and I would not be writing about my primary school days at all.Being the always sentimental me,I would like to pay some special tributes to these colourful friends of mine which I would no doubt remember for as long as I could...

1.) Hui wen
Yup,she is the girl sitting just behind me during pri 6(I can't remember if pri 5 was also the same) and is one of the few truly intelligent girls that I have met till now.(hey if I not wrong, she score the highest PSLE aggregrate from our class ok!)From my impression, she is also a fairly emotional gal who always seem to have problems(although I seemed to figure out a bit of it) but who usually also always kept to herself. She seems so mentally strong yet also mentally weak that I truly feel that she is one unpredictable person.Nevertheless,I must admit that she was one of the few quite mature people in our class together with other girls like Lijun, shu hui etc during that time.(possibly because guys undergoes puberty at a later time?) Oh ya Hui wen is also highly creative and artistic and I can remember her drawing lots of pictures which are all very decent ok.She also has quite an interest in maths and like Ruifeng is one of the math genius in our class during that time.Having change her christian name to celestine now,I truly hope that she has become more cheerful and more willing to share her joy and sorrow with her close friends. Here, yongster would like to wish you good luck and hopefully you can or have already find true happiness.

2.)Junior/Jun yuan
I must admit that I truly only get to know this guy better during a pri 4 exclusion trip when he sat next to me during the bus trip.To avoid being seen as unfriendly and also to escape boredom,I(and I suspect he also) started talking to each other and from that very moment on,there was no turning back because we simply just clipped!I remembered him as a fairly humourous guy who used to be crazy about his favourite soccer player Alan Shearer and has this funny habit of signing the word 'shearer' next to his name.Nonetheless, being the ever friendly and thick skin guy,he is quite popular in class especially with the gals. One question I would like to ask him though is the 180 degree change in him when he entered secondary school since he used to be so diligent. What happened Jun yuan?

3.)Senior/Jun yuan
Up till now,I still do not know why he is given the nickname senior while the other Jun yuan adopted the name junior.Anyway, this guy was another one of my brother gang and one whom I enjoyed talking to also.He was particularly close to Zhi xian at that time and I think we only truly talk to each other during pri5 and 6.If I am not wrong, one of the way we communicate in class is to throw paper messages rolled into a ball at each other since we are seated quite far apart.I only get to met this guy 1 time after we graduated so I hope that dude you are still doing well.

4.)Zhi xian
One of my buddy during my primary school years. This is one lankly guy who used to connect with me very well.As mentioned earlier,he and I started this habit of throwing paper ball messages at each other and outside of class,we often hang together during recess times. Also a guy with a great sense of humour,he is one loyal friend of mine during primary school times.A pity is that we lost contact with each other after graduating and I have not seen him once at all.Buddy, hope that you are still doing great!

5.)Yong wee
The so called'big mouth' in our class during that time,Yongwee nevertheless has a really helpful soul(which I hope still substain today lah haha). His slightly hoarse voice has almost to me become a unique trademark of him also.Yongwee is also a very friendly guy and we used to enjoy talking to each other.I had seen him for a few times after graduation with the very last time being about 4 or 5 years back so really hope that we could keep in contact again one day...

6.)Zhenlong and Ding cheng
Zhenlong was that cubby guy who used to sit in front of me and suffered from my incessant suaning. He was also always at loggerhead with his closed friend Jiaohao who in turn I think sit in front of him.Just watching the two of them 'quarrel' is often enough an entertainment for me to substain through one whole day of school so I really had no complain with that.Ding cheng on the other hand is the act cool athetic guy who excel in the track and field during that time. However, the most interesting thing worth mentioning about him is that we used to have a 'pact' which involved me doing some of his science assignments for him with me getting nothing in return! Thinking back,I seriously cannot understand my foolish actions at that time although I know that part of the reason was because I simply love science too much at that time.

Other friends that I appreciate and would very much want to say a big THANK YOU for making my primary school life so memorable include Lilian,Mei xin,Lijun,Richard,Kuo wei,Shu hui,Jian hao,Syed,Cai ting,Chin Pei,Nurhuda,Ruifeng and the rest of my classmates in class 6F.I am very sorry if I had left anyone out due to my failing memory but rest assured that no matter what, you have certainly as I stressed again and again play a important role during my formative years. My dream is that one day,we could hopefully(and I must really pray and hope hard) be able to get together and talk about those days again....Anyway,here's a toast to my all my primary school friends out there...Remember to do your best and be the best!

Yours sincerely,

Yongster

Chapter 2--Aw....Those were the days........

Dear journal,

Today while I was trying to tidy my room,I came across a hidden treasure that have been lying dormant during these years(quite a number actually). My primary school autograph book.Instantly,a whole array of memories swept over me as I flipped through each pages and the feeling is just like I was brought back to my primary school days!(no kidding ok although this sentence might sound very fake to some of you)Flipping through the pages,I realized that time had really flies past that easily just like a flip of my hand and I even had to try my very best to retrieve from my memory database the descriptions of some of my pals who had written in my autogragh book but whom I had really forgotten in this present days(shame to you yongster!)Anyway,I had to really admit that the primary school days were highly enjoyable days and although the teachers did not leave an impression on me, the friends certainly do.At least,I can really remembered the times when a group of us(junior, senior, zhixian, jiaohao, yongwee, zhenlong)used to play together during recess times. In class, I really appreciate the company of huiwen who now have a really cool christian name call celestine and whom used to sit just behind me,zhenlong who sit in front of me and whom was the target of my constant suaning(yes people,my powerful suaning practices start right from my primary school days),Nurhuda who sit beside me(right) and who was always a joy to talk to and finally ding cheng who also sit beside me(left) and whom I always helped him with his science assignments('help' in this case means literally helped him to complete it by doing it for him) and of course also my gang of brothers again, zhixian, jiaohao, yongwee, senior and junior. And of course not forgetting the rest of my classmates whom I was also close to like Lilian,Lijun,Meixin etc. From the above description,it shouldn't take a genius to realize that I was very close to my primary school pals during that few eventful years. In fact,I have always wondered why we almost always forget our primary school friends the moment we set foot into secondary schools. Is it because we were still very young at that times and our memories were still not fully developed at that time or simply because of the facts that we tend to take our primary school friends most for granted. It seems like the bonds we shared during primary school days had magically disappeared the moment we left our primary schools and up till now I still think and feel that that is a real BIG pity.In fact, I am now so flooded with emotions now that I had decided to give a more detailed descriptions of my primary school days in my next journal, Until then,aw those were the days........

Yours sincerely,Yongster

Chapter1--Birth of my journal^^

Dear journal,

The reason for the creation of this journal is simple.Because I have nothing much to do at home during the december holidays haha.Anyway, this is definitely yet another milestone for me because I not used to 'baring' my inner most delicate feelings and thoughts for my relatives and friends(to those strangers out there who happened to chanced upon this journal, you may very well get out now because my journal is not for those who have nothing much to do everyday accept to read other people journals and I really do not understand why you will be reading an unknown person journal when it has nothing to do with you)Anyway back to my topic, the birth of this journal, apart from providing me with an outlet to vent my daily frustrations and displeasures and of course happiness as well is of course also another revenue for my loved one to discover the secrets of the highly secretive and unpredictable life of yongster although those wise folks must now have realised that the 'secrets' should really not be that secret given that I not that dumb after all. However, expect juicy details and downright honest opinions from yongster who have no qualms at all in degrading people and although I am very unlikely to mention names, the detailed descriptions should be sufficient for those wise folks out there again to know who I talking about.(so to enemies for the heirs out there,do treat yongster more nicer k?)Nevertheless just as I am interested in vilifying people,I am also supportive of vindicating people so people mentioned in my journal are not necessary send to eternity ok? Lastly to close off this first chapter,I would like to stress the fact that I don't really give a damn to spellings and grammar errors so even if you thinks that you are somekinds of linguistic experts,I would appreciate it very much if you can keep your mouth shut and tight.

Yours sincerely,Yongster
